My Life In Books Tag

I saw this tag on Marie from drizzle and hurricane books‘s page and really liked it, so I took her invitation to participate!  I was also tagged by Becca at ghostystories! Thanks Becca!

I decided to only use books on my shelves, since there are a ton of them!

1. FIND A BOOK FOR EACH OF YOUR INITIALS

R: Red Rising by Pierce Brown
O: One Plus One by Jojo Moyes

I haven’t read either of these yet. I’m very excited for Red Rising and think it will be right up my alley. I’m not a huge contemporary fan, but I’ve heard good things about Jojo Moyes, so I’ll give this a shot.

2. COUNT YOUR AGE ALONG YOUR BOOKSHELF – WHICH BOOK IS IT?

My age-book is The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey. I really liked this book and am very excited for the movie!

3. PICK A BOOK SET IN YOUR CITY/STATE/COUNTRY.

I didn’t actually know this, but I googled books set in Denver and Monument 14 by Emmy Laybourne was on the list! I’ve been collecting this series for a bit and I’m now even more excited to dive in.

4. PICK A BOOK THAT REPRESENTS A DESTINATION YOU WOULD LOVE TO TRAVEL TO.

The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry by Gabrielle Zevin takes place on a Martha’s Vineyard style island that sounds so quaint and beautiful. I would love to live in a place like this in the future.

5. PICK A BOOK THAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE COLOUR.

It’s a tie between the pink in This Song Will Save Your Life by Leila Sales and the green (though maybe a bit brighter) in Tell The Wolves I’m Home by Carol Rifka Brunt. I absolutely loved This Song Will Save Your Life – check it out if you haven’t already! I have heard nothing but good things about Tell The Wolves I’m Home and plan to get to this one soon.

6. WHICH BOOK DO YOU HAVE THE FONDEST MEMORIES OF?

Kind of goes without saying, but Harry Potter.

7. WHICH BOOK DID YOU HAVE THE MOST DIFFICULTY READING?

No picture for this one because I don’t keep books I don’t like, but I’d go with any of the following:

Hopeless by Colleen Hoover (due to terrible themes)

Every Last Breath by Jennifer L. Armentrout (review here – contains spoilers)

Last Summer by Sarah Dessen (Goodreads review here)

Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire (also terrible themes)

8. WHICH BOOK IN YOUR TBR PILE WILL GIVE YOU THE BIGGEST SENSE OF ACCOMPLISHMENT WHEN YOU FINISH IT?

These bad boys! They’re some serious chunkers and very intimidating! These are the first two books in the Kingkiller’s Chronicle by Patrick Rothfuss. I’ve heard really good hype around these though, so I will read them.

If you’ve heard of any of these books, I tag you!
